Thank you for leaving a comment on the Brain cake that I made. Usually we used Chocalate sponge and buttercream. Then we covered it with icing and placed an edible print out from the internet (a picture of a Brain). Afterwards it was ready to eat!!!
The cake was delicious as you guessed and I hope you could try some of it.Can you send us pictures of what you have been up to?See you later,
      Shareefah

Wow! What an interesting activity your class did for homework. In our class we learnt about our brain waves and how being at alpha is the best stage to be in. I’ve never made brain cakes before, but it sounds like fun. How do you make brain cakes?

    • 14tcarelse says:

Usually we just make a normal cake (Chocolate, Victoria sponge cake, etc) and then we get some edible paper and print a picture on it from the internet. We did this for our homework, not in school.

      Dear Shahnti,

The brain is a very interesting subject! Brain cakes are easy to make. You could make a cake and print a picture on it, like the one in the bottom left. Or you could make a cake and cut it into the shape of a brain. Thank you for commenting on our blog.

  6. Brandon says:

Wow! That was very creative. I wish I could eat a delicious cake like that. The pink cake looks very squishy and slimey. How long did it take to make it?

      Dear Rubi,

Our brain cakes are for out homework. We were learning about parts of the brain and what they do. We were also learning about neurons in the brain. For our homework, We can do anything: from making cakes to drawing pictures of brains. These cakes were for our homework.

Those brains look delicious. The bottom left brain looks like a brain map.

    Why did you make it?

  9. Mackenzie says:

WOW! That looks so cool I wish we could make cake like that. We have been learning about brain waves. Also that pink ones looks cool because it looks real.

Here is a question What else have you been learning about brains?

    • 14tcarelse says:

We’ve used plasticine to create models of brains. They’re REALLY cool! We also used wax crayons to create drawings of neurons and then washed the drawings. They turned out so bright and colourful. Plus, we used wool and paper to make models of neurons and we made a display of them in our classroom so it looks like our neurons are connecting inside our brain! I wonder what you did for your topic on brains, Mackenzie.

      From Tiana

We also learnt about neurons. Did you know that in nearly every second of your life there are neurons connecting and disconnecting in your brain? Well, we made neurons by using neuron templates, then, we took tissue paper (orange, yellow and red) and covered the paper with it! they made fantastic neurons! What have you been learning about brains, Mackenzie?
